Saw the top of Ben Nevis today. Interesting formation. Its head is usually in the clouds. The sunset was striking tonight. It rained, then sunset, then mist, then clear again. I thought Wisconsin weather was changeable, but this is fast. There's a different scene every 15 seconds! Ben Nevis is the mountain with the flat-ish top and the big bump to the right of the flat bit. We can see it from our lodge.


Not sure what I'm relying on but instinct sounds about right. The sky is overcast a lot, leaving the lighting flat. But we've also had a lot of intermittent sunshine, making the light and shadow patterns shift rapidly with the fast moving clouds.
